Mixed Beans Bowl

I call this dish the protein bowl because of the amount of protein in it, as we may all know beans are high in protein, fiber and iron. In this recipe I used kidney beans, garbanzo, and mung beans.

A cup of kidney beans contain about 15.3 grams of protein.  ( Source )


  • 1/5 cup Kidney beans
  • 1/5 cup Garbanzo beans
  • 1/5 cup Mung Beans
  • Salt
  • 1/5 cup Couscous


  1. Boil kidney beans, garbanzo and mung beans in a pot with water, adding salt in a medium stove.
  2. Leave couscous in a hot water for about 10 mins. (Couscous is easier to make faster, you don’t need to boil it, although you could for a quicker result).
  3. For a sauce you can use any type, tahini would go well with this. I used bell pepper sauce.

I added spinach, but you don’t have to, It will still taste good.

Size: 4-5 people
